The fibres of the feather are sometimes missing, twisted, bent and can look very 'skeletal' on the tips. Whereas a wing plume feather looks absolutely stunning with the tips of the feathers drooping in a flowing fashion.  What we are saying is that you get what you pay for. This does not detract from the beauty of these feathers but they can be a more economical way of producing the same effect of the Grade A feathers.
